SUPERBIKES

Well world Superbike is underway and it looks to be way more interesting than last year. Of course I am seeing results form just one practice session so you all know what that is worth.

We have Ducati’s 1,2 and 3 but they are not all the first string bikes. The Petronas has 4 and 5 and there is a 4 cylinder in the top ten. Could be an interesting year.

Info for this is from
here (the used to be AMASUPERBIKE.COM) a great site with all the latest racing news first.

FISHER

Fischer has unveiled a prototype of their American superbike. Looks nice. Nothing to really set it apart except the clear gas tank and that sounds like a gimmick to me.

I welcome them to the fray, and I am sure everyone does. The MC world is not as cutthroat as many businesses and since most of us like just about any bikes more bike makers is a good thing.

I am not holding my breath awaiting the production bikes. As we have seen too often lately the prototype is the easy part. Actually getting up and into production is a real challenge but making it through the first year or two is dam near impossible

Dancing the day away

Had a fun time in St. Louis at the Irish Dance contest there. Our 8 year old got a first place so we were all pretty excited. I love Irish music so sittng around for a good part of the day listening to it is great fun. Then at the end of the day many of the muscians, some who have been playing from 8 am will gather in the lobby or some other handy spot and play all night.

Any one can join in so I get to show just how bad I am on the spoons.

IMS Show

I missed the IMS show in Chicago over th eweekend. Heard it was pretty good. I had hoped to see the retro Ducatis up close but it was not to be.

We had the neighborhood chilli cook off Saturday night and the old stomach was not real happy Sunday morning. Good chilli however.

BLOGGING IS TOUGH

Here we go again. I am going to try and get this blog up and running again. I will expand it to cover just about anything that interests me as limiting it to just Buell topics makes it pretty hard to say something everyday.

I am finding that this is a tough enough exercise without limiting the topic to something
so specific.

Todays entry; check out this story on karts, the quote at the end has to be the odds on favorite for “Motorsports Quote of the Year”.
